NJIT's College of Computing Sciences is partnering with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to provide a variety of on-demand computing environments and platforms for its faculty and students. These "in the cloud" services will dramatically increase the college's ability to rapidly deploy these services for teaching needs.
Nine lucky NJIT students are testing one of the nation’s first application development courses for the Apple iPhone. The upper-level course, taught by Director of University Web Services Jim Robertson, illustrates how to develop applications for the popular iPhone. Enrolled students received a free, iPod Touch for application use and testing.
CCS will host a Workshop for Teachers and Counselors featuring Cloud Computing and Genetics & Personalized Medicine. Participants will receive 5.0 professional development credits.
